System Hallmarks: The Da Capos can handle this extra power and control, and, now the system has a more resolved front end. The Equinox is a significant step up from the Cambridge. Entering the realm of the MOON gear represents a sound that is the best of both worlds regarding tubes and solid state. Some solid state gear is dry, flat, lean. Not the MOON equipment. One thing people say when they heat the MOON gear is how analogue it sounds. Just less hash in the music. Additionally, whenever a company has the expertise to design the entire system from the digital front end all the way through to the power output, the symbiosis is there. This variation on the Da Capos allows the rock, fusion jazz, big band music to be included in the listening realm, and, played back at levels approaching the real thing.
